Old Mines 2018

I have a lot of genealogy and history to Old Mines, Missouri. I enjoy visiting during their annual meeting. They have other events as well that are worthwhile. I first visited in on April 1, 2017, and this page shows those photos and story. The annual meeting is held nearby in Fertile, Missouri, but afterward they travel to the new village they are construction by carefully moving buildings donated from elsewhere in the county and reconstructing them on site. It is going to be spectacular historical place to visit when finished. Le Village de Vielle Mine (The Village of the Old Mine) is the name of the historic village. These April 8, 2018 photos and the above slideshow preserve the history of what the progress on the village was in 2018. I have added a few of the photos from the slideshow below.

I took a lot of photos of the markers in the Old Mines Cemetery because there are a lot of unmarked graves and it is my understanding that my ancestors buried here could be anywhere in the cemetery. I share samples of the markers with a variety of French designs to them.
