Rendleman Orchards Farm Market

I could not believe we had never had the opportunity visit Rendleman Orchards Farm Market prior to 2020. If we had, I did not remember doing so. From Highway 146 (between Route 3 and Anna) take Highway 127 north and it is right along that road. As you approach, you will enjoy the orchards on either side of the road. I wanted to stop and vidoe or photograph the orchards, but the traffic to and from the place that day did not allow. There are many other places in the area to visit and hike. This is right in the middle of the wine trail.

This is a photo of the goards on the gourd tunnel.

From watching them on social media, I note the family works hard to constantly change the decorations to make the place fresh so you will want to visit again and again. The peaches, nectarines, and zinnia patch are the highlight from June through August and the apples, sunflowers fields, and pumpkins are the highlight from September through November.

When we were there on late September, we had missed the prime weekend for sunflowers although people were still picking them for purchase and taking photographs, as well as the zinnia field was past prime, but still being greatly enjoyed. The pumpkin patch had not yet met its prime, but pumpkins were still available and I enjoyed walking through the patch. It was a perfect opportunity of Summer meets Autumn.

There are so many opportunities for posed photos fun. This is above a swing where they put sunflowers in a tree! I did not take a photo of the swing to respect the privacy of the people using it. There was a long line to do this photo opportunity as well.

This farm market is open 7 days a week with seasonal produce and specialty food items. However, on the day we were there they had apple cider slushees which were so delicious! They also had apple cider donuts which were were excited to try, but they had sold out. There were food trucks as well, but they too were selling out of specialties! So go early if you go on a weekend.

I did buy some food inside the market which included delicious apples and a jar of maple pecan honey butter. Oh my! I enjoyed a dab of that on my apples every day for weeks! Now the ingredients on the jar were not short indicating it was not so healthy, but for a treat every once in a while I did not really care. I also purchased two flavors of apple cider in small jars and a dutch apple perserves.

Here is another photo op, one which I could not resist having my photo taken. People were picking large stalks of flowers and bringing them to the market to purchase, as well as from the zinnia patch and pumpkin patch.

This area is the chicken coup and so the place is perfect for young children. When we first got out of the vehicle we saw a chicken running around the wheels and then saw others here or there. There were two goats for the children to enjoy and I watched one girl feed them a zinnia! Ah!

Maybe people posed on this front porch in various places, either on the bench or near the other displays, for photos.

I thought the two white pumpkins and the green one against the texture of the door fun.

Rather than picking a pumpkin from the field, I did select one from these containers.

Back to the beginning of our story with the gourd tunnel. There was also a truck as you can see in the video and we enjoyed the flowers in front of their home.

I feel as if I could just bring my good camera again some day and spend some time taking lovely photos. I think we will be back.
