Verbena canadensis (syn. Glandularia canadensis) | Rose Verbenia, Rose Mock Vervain, Clump Verbenia

I believe I have planted this several times in my garden and it never seems to last. It must look like a weed early on and hubby must weed it. I feel like I have given up on it, but then again, maybe I will try one more time and take special care of it myself, just to see if it will last in my garden. I do like the way it looks.
Rose Verbena is a native Missouri plant and can be found along hiking trails and conservation areas.
The height is about 12 inches, which is great for me.
The flowers are rounded and flat-topped in terminal clusters. The flowers can bloom from early Spring to November (wow, really?) The flowers have 4 to 5 petals or rays.
The stems are hairy and creep along the surface turning upwards at the ends.
They remind me of phlox a bit. The difference can be seen in the wide, lobed, and toothed leaves that looks much different.
